Every concerned American who loves freedom, liberty, and democracy should be concerned and prepared for several months of dysfunction, distractions, planned chaos, and dirty tricks.  This mayhem and confusion will not only be perpetrated by Trump and his crime family but by propaganda news and social media, foreign advisories, phony front organizations, white nationalists, military-styled storm troopers, NoMask PACs, QAnon and other entities funded by outside disrupters.

All this will continue as tens of thousands of Americans are murdered by an unprepared, lying, dysfunctional government dealing with a pandemic and making promises of fake cures, while forcing businesses and schools to open prematurely and faking statistics. Other actions like a phony third-party candidate, improper appointments, hundreds of millions of tax dollars being given to friends of the Family like Eastman Kodak ($765 million) and a $700 million loan to a Senator’s trucking company friend who lost $100 million in 2019 and is being sued by the Justice Department for fraud.  Then there’s the story of a couple of GOP operatives who paid a woman to claim sexual assault against a medical expert speaking the truth about the COVID-19 virus and what about the foreign country bounty on our military.

It doesn’t stop there, in addition, we have the destruction of various regulations like eliminating environmental control on methane and selling off oil and gas leases on federal parks and offshore.  And there’s the sabotage of the Postal Service in order to impair the November election and steal your right to vote and destroy our two hundred year democracy by the destructive acts of the newly appointed Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy, a mega-donor to Trump.

At this time we have to set aside all the lies, corruption, thievery, dysfunction, even the pandemic deaths, and concentrate on voting at home to properly complete and return ballots EARLY!  The most important Trump perversion is the Postal Service, it represents both an American Constitutional Institution and the vehicle to safe voting during a 100-year pandemic. Trump is using the Postal Service management to mismanage and delay completed ballot delivery such that they will not be counted in the final tally in order for him to retain the presidency for a second term.  To circumvent that situation let’s think outside of the box and consider implementing “Plan B”.

PLAN B is relatively simple, it is a ballot ‘pick up program’ initiated by the elections control authority of each jurisdiction.  The authority would authorize a mobile polling place to collect ballots, an alternative to mailing the completed ballot.  Ballot pick up could be accomplished on a scheduled basis through each precinct within a polling district. The announced route and time window would be replicated multiple times before the November 3rd election and accomplished by a deputized poll worker and driver/security officer in an appropriate secured, sound system vehicle.  The sound system would be used to announce the vehicle with a tune like, “I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy”, alerting the community that they are driving through the area.  Voters could wave the vehicle down and turn in their completed ballot to the deputized poll worker receiving a unique “I VOTED” tag.  These route systems are not new, they are done by the Postal Service, trash pickup, UPS, FedX, Amazon, and many other services like meter readers.

Of course, the ballot could be mailed but there would be no guarantee that it would be received in time to be counted. The technique is nothing new, the purpose is unique. The deputy could even carry color-coded provisional ballots for those voters who did not receive their “vote at home” ballot.

A FASTER BALLOT TURNAROUND could be facilitated if “vote at home” voters choose to accomplish a “short ballot”.  A “short ballot” is a standard ballot that has only been completed with votes for federal candidates and state constitutional and legislative offices.  Voting in this manner accelerates ballot completion since most delayed submission of ballots is the result of trying to determine who or what to vote for down the ticket.  Of course, the voter can choose the depth of their ballot vote, but this an effective quick choice turnaround.  Down ticket choices will not matter if we lose our democracy.
