The current condition of our country seems to be that of a “Trick or Treat” game in the hands of some members of Congress. They are willing to jeopardize the economy and security of America by delaying critical presidential appointments and thereby appease their base in order to be re-elected. The last trick they played (shutdown) costed the economy $24,000,000,000.00 and furloughed 800,000 workers! Is this the America or the Congress of a democracy? Tomorrow, food subsides for millions of families, seniors, and children will be cut (via sequester)…Trick or Treat!

One Congressman said that there are four branches of government! Huh, since when?
No Congressman has lost or delayed one cent of their pay during the shutdown.
And did you know, all furloughed government personnel will be paid their back salaries incurred during the shutdown. They will ultimately be paid for not working during the shutdown. Why not pay them for working on the job, rather than not working during the shutdown!
Mr. Boehner stop the House from wasting taxpayer’s money in screwing around with the budget and the debt ceiling in order to placate 12% of your congressional cult extremists. You are dealing with and injuring America’s business and it’s people. One simple act, an up/down clean vote, is the one step solution which ends this nonsense in one day. Not rocket science!
WHAT IF…..
What if the House (Boehner) doesn’t do anything to clear up the government shutdown and proceeds to hold the debt limit hostage? My take is that the Administration will preserve the credit rating of United States by having the Treasury Department make adjustments (reductions) on Social Security distributions and use those funds in order not to default on the debt and to pay the interest.
DOLLAR BILL BRIGADE will post the signers to the letter demanding the shutdown of the government in order to stop Obamacare (ACA) by the end of the week. That information will be reflected in the House Matrix.
MY TAKE–SHUTDOWN OR POLITICAL TERRORISM!!
On October 1st, the House of Representatives declared war on the American public. As discussed in the Dollar Bill Brigade.com, some members of Congress are dysfunctional sociopaths. It is utterly incomprehensible that after 42 failed attempts to destroy the Affordable Care Act, a bill approved by both chambers of Congress, signed into law and confirmed by the Supreme Court that some representatives of the people have decided to use this law as an excused to not approve funding the government of the United States. Is this just a continuation of political terrorism enjoined by some members of Congress with the long game of destroying our democracy?
Less than twelve percent of the House of Representatives have instituted a cult like atmosphere in conducting the affairs of governing. Are they looking towards the Senate where they might find the leader that will take them to the koolaid? In any case, that leader is not the current Speaker of the House.
There is one person who can turn this situation around in one day. That person is the Speaker, John Boehner, who with one courageous act can bring a “clean” budget bill to the floor of the House and achieve an “up/down” vote of the full House.
Mr. Boehner become a patriot and end the war!!
